Whāngārā Farms Proud to Support Rere School Community Through Charity Bull Auction

Whāngārā Farms was proud to take part in the recent charity bull auction hosted at Tangihau Station, where funds raised are going to Friends of Rere to help support a new school bus for Rere School.

We were pleased to make the successful purchase of the bull, knowing the proceeds would go toward a kaupapa with real impact for tamariki and their whānau. Safe, reliable transport is essential in our rural communities, and we’re glad to have played a role in helping make that a reality.

For Whāngārā Farms, this was more than just a one-off gesture, it was an investment in the future of our region. Supporting kaupapa like this aligns with our commitment to intergenerational wellbeing and our belief that thriving communities and thriving whenua go hand in hand.

“It’s a privilege to be able to give back in a way that directly supports our local tamariki,” said Scott, who represented Whāngārā Farms at the auction. “We see this as a long-term investment, not just in a school bus, but in the futures of the young ones who will ride it each day.”

As a partnership grounded in collective ownership and whakapapa, Whāngārā Farms is focused on building long-term value for our shareholders and whānau, while contributing meaningfully to the wider Tairawhiti community. We’re heartened to see how the auction brought people together and proud to be part of a region that stands behind its schools and whānau.

Ngā mihi to Tangihau Station for leading this initiative, and to everyone who helped make it a success.
